About

The Global p-XRF Network

GopXRF.net is an organizational hub for the global community using portable X-ray fluorescence in archaeology and cultural heritage. It brings together methodological discussion, training, standards, resources, project visibility, protected member exchange, and practical tools.

Why it matters

pXRF can generate non-destructive elemental data in museums, laboratories, stores, landscapes, excavations, and field settings. That flexibility also creates challenges: instrument differences, sample matrices, moisture, surface alteration, calibration, standards, metadata, and statistical workflows all affect comparability.

What the site provides

The public side communicates events, resources, projects, and guidance. The member side stores listserv updates, comments, a calendar, tool links, project discussions, and Research Forum spaces where unpublished work can be discussed under explicit data-protection norms.
